Parking at Mijnbouwplein
The car park on Mijnbouwplein is owned by DUWO. Companies are located on and around Mijnbouwplein and DUWO has made agreements about parking space with these companies.
We notice that, because we do not have to pay for parking at our car park, we cannot fulfill the agreements with the companies. For example, we see that the parking lot is regularly used by people who immediately go into the city on foot or by bicycle after parking. In addition, when there is no more space in the spaces, parking is also done in places that are not intended for that purpose. This gives a messy picture and also leads to unsafe situations.
DUWO has therefore decided to close off the site soon by means of barriers. As a result, only authorized persons will be able to park, we will be able to fulfill our agreements and we will keep the car park safe. Because we are aware of the parking pressure in Delft, we are currently investigating the possibility of opening the parking lot after office hours and at weekends for paid parking. As soon as more is known, we will communicate this via this website. You will find the most frequently asked questions below. If you have any further questions, please contact us using the contact form or call 09002353896.
FAQ’s
Why are there barriers?
Because parking is free on our site, we notice that we cannot meet the agreements with the companies. For example, we see that the parking lot is regularly used by people who immediately go into the city on foot or by bicycle after parking. In addition, when there is no more space in the spaces, parking is also done in places that are not intended for that purpose. This gives a messy picture and also leads to unsafe situations.
When will the barriers come?
From 23 November we will start work on installing the barriers. Then the software will be installed. As soon as it is known when the barriers will close, we will communicate this on this website and on the sign on site.
Where can I park now?
We are currently investigating whether it is possible to open the car park to other parkers after office hours and at weekends. This is paid parking. You must also park (paid) elsewhere in Delft.
How do I rent a parking space?
Only the established companies on and around Mijnbouwplein, with whom contractual agreements have been made regarding parking are entitled to a parking space. If you work for one of these companies, we advise you to contact your employer.
What about parking on weekends and after working hours?
We are currently investigating whether it is possible to open the car park to parkers after office hours and at weekends. This is paid parking.
I missed the information about the changed parking regime and my car is now parked behind the barrier, what now?
Driving out is always possible. You can contact DUWO by telephone on telephone number 0900-2353896.
I rent a house from DUWO at Mijnbouwplein and park my car in the parking lot. What does this mean for me?
You can no longer park in the parking lot. For a possible parking permit outside the site, we refer you to the municipality of Delft. DUWO does want to think about how to deal with relocations in the future, for example.
