We offer a number of services within your service costs at an affordable price to make your rental time at DUWO as easy as possible. However, purchasing these services is not mandatory and you are free to take out home contents insurance elsewhere, for example. Below is a list of the 3 optional services.

 

Membership of tenants’ organisation

The tenants' organisation is an association that advocates for your interests! They serve as an important discussion partner with DUWO. They sometimes organise fun activities and get-togethers, and you can sometimes borrow tools for small repairs. They all hold General Member Meetings, where you can have a say in the policies of your tenants’ organisation and DUWO! For this membership, you pay less than a cup of coffee per month; the exact amount is specified in your rental contract. As a member of the tenants’ organisation, DUWO shares your contact details with them so they can keep you informed of all their events.

MyPup lockers

To make parcel delivery convenient, we have provided a MyPup Pick Up Point in your building. You can have all your parcels delivered and returned safely and quickly via the lockers. You can even lend something to a neighbour.

By using this service, we ensure that only one courier needs to enter the building per day and we prevent parcels lying around at the entrances and lost parcels.

With this service, you can deliver and return parcels from all webshops and courier services. Your parcels are safely stored and you can pick them up when it suits you. This costs €3.38 per month.
Contents insurance

Home contents insurance covers damage to and theft of furniture, clothing, audio, video and computer equipment, jewelry and carpeting in your student room, common room and private storage room. Your belongings are insured against theft after burglary, damage due to fire or severe weather conditions. You pay €1.26 per month for this service.

Cancellation during contract signing
If you sign your rental agreement on time before the commencement date or if you cancel within the first 2 weeks of the start of your agreement, we will remove the service from your service costs. The costs you have already paid when signing the contract will be deducted from the next month's rent. So if your contract starts on December 1, you have until December 14 to cancel completely. In this case, we will not share your contact details with the tenants’ organisation.

Cancel 2 weeks after the rental agreement commencement date
If you cancel 2 weeks after the commencement date of your rental agreement or later, we will terminate the service as of the last day of October. So if you cancel on the 15th, we will end the service on December 31st. We will then share your contact details with the tenants’ organisation during the period in which you are a member.

Please note: with the tenants’ organisation membership service, we share your contact details with the relevant tenants’ organisation. If you cancel your membership within the stated period, we will not share your data with them.
