University Inholland The Hague

The international Creative Businessprogramme of Inholland The Hague has reserved a limited number of rooms for the first-year international students.


All the rooms are fully furnished and self-contained. The rooms have their own kitchen, shower and toilet. A bed linen set and a basic kitchen inventory package will be waiting for you upon arrival. On the inventory list you can see what is included in your room.

What do I need to do to get a room?

Please follow the steps below. Before you do, please read the Tenancy Regulations for Accommodate and check the general housing application procedure for Inholland The Hague at

  1. You can send Inholland The Hague your contact details if you are interested to accommodation.thehagueinhollandnl and via the link in your Mystart app. You can find the app under the contactpage of your course.
  2. You will receive an email to activate your DUWO account. Activate your account.
  3. Log in and reserve a room.
  4. Upload the requested documents. Once your documents have been approved by DUWO, you will receive an email to sign your contract online.
  5. Before you can sign the contract, you must pay the first bill. This payment is part of the digital signing of your contract.

First payment

Please note, you must make the first payment before signing the tenancy agreement. This payment consists of the rent for the first month (or the first month-and-a-half), the reservation/handling fee and the rent for the final two months. You pay this first invoice in My Messages on . You can also choose to pay the amount for the full rental period at once. Your payment must reach DUWO within 2 weeks after your preliminary reservation. Please consider the time the bank needs to process your payment.
In case we do not receive your payment in time, your reservation will be cancelled.

Tenancy agreement

Once you have digitally signed your contract, you will receive an email with your tenancy agreement as a pdf file. Please note: DUWO only hands over the keys after the contract has been signed.

Arrival in the Netherlands

Your room will be available from 13:00 on the start date of your tenancy agreement. To collect your keys, please bring your valid passport or ID card.
If you arrive earlier or outside of opening hours, please make sure to find yourself a temporary place to stay.

Rental period

The maximum rental period for DUWO Accommodate is 1 year. The rental periods have a fixed start and end date. 

  • The rental period:
    7 August 2019 – 27 July 2020

Extension Policy

Exchange students

The maximum rental period for the exchange students is two semesters by DUWO.

  • The first semester: 07-08-2019 till 27-01-2020
  • The second semester: 30-01-2020 till 27-07-2020
    You need to contact the International Office of Inholland if you want to extend the contract. You can only extend the contract of your rented room. The costs of extending the contract is €50.

Bachelor students
The bachelor students get a contract from DUWO for one year. This contract can not be extended.

Cancellation Policy

Please send your cancellation to your contact person at your educational institution.

If you cancel your signed and paid contract more than one month before the starting date of your contract, then you will receive reimbursement of the paid rent. The reservation/handling fee will not be returned.

If you cancel your signed and paid contract less than one month before the starting date of your contract, or if you don't show up, then the reservation/handling fee plus a minimum of the first month's rent are due.

After the starting date of your contract, you can not longer cancel.

Early termination of contract

Please note you cannot terminate your tenancy agreement early.
Only in exceptional cases (serious illness, family death), a tenancy agreement might be cancelled after the starting date with the approval of Inholland The Hague

Relocation Policy
