Residents’ participation and residents’ committee

DUWO values residents’ participation. Therefore, we stay in close contact with our tenants. For example, we enter into agreements with tenants’ organisations and regularly consult with the residents’ committee of a student complex. In the larger student complexes, we stay in touch with student administrators and group representatives. In short, plenty of opportunities for residents’ participation! Therefore we are looking for enthousiastic residents  who are willing to participate in a residents' commitee or who want to start as a student administrator.

As an tenant of DUWO University Housing you can also turn to the residents' organisation, the residents' committee and the student administrators/representatives of your building.

Student administrators/representatives

In many student complexes, DUWO has direct contact with student administrators and floor representatives. DUWO appoints student administrators and compensates them for their work. In addition to the administrator, the student administrator is also a direct point of contact, for example if there are problems in the building.

Residents’ committee

Many DUWO student complexes have a residents' committee. The residents elect the members of this committee. This is a group of 3 to 5 students who live in the same building and are committed to all kinds of residents' issues. The residents' committee consults with DUWO at least three times a year about, among other things, service costs, nuisance and maintenance of the student complex. The residents' committee is the first point of contact for tenants if you want to improve something in your complex, if you want to organize something for your complex or if you want to ask a question about renting in your complex. Wondering whether your building also has a Residents Committee and how you can reach them? You can find it under My Residence.
