We are pleased to welcome you as a tenant of DUWO University Housing. To ensure a smooth start to your stay, we have listed all the important information below.

Rental agreement/Contract

A copy of the contract was sent to you by email when you signed your contract online.
You can also find a copy of your contract in your online My DUWO account.

Check your inventory

We assume that everything is in order with your room. If not, let us know!

  • Are you renting a furnished room? Check the inventory using the inventory list. If anything is broken or missing, report this within one week
    The furniture and standard inventory are insured through DUWO. 
  • Are you renting an unfurnished room? (PhD long-stay) Has your new accommodation not been left as it should have been, or do you have questions about the hand-over? Please let us know and contact us.

As a DUWO University Housing tenant, you will need to take out insurance for your personal belongings. 

Internet

In your room, you have access to wireless internet provided by Ziggo. In furnished rooms, a router is already installed; this router is owned by DUWO. You can easily connect to the network using the codes displayed on the router. The first time you log in, the code is your contract number and date of birth.

If you experience any issues with your internet connection, you can contact the Ziggo helpdesk via ITT Desk. They are available from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00 at 088-4117788, by email at [email protected], or via Twitter at twitter.com/ittdesk.

Laundry

Special DUWO washing machine rooms have been set up in some of our buildings. It contains professional washing machines and dryers, which are maintained by DUWO. Via the DUWO app or in the information of your building, you can see exactly what applies to you.

Keys

For safety reasons, please remove your address from the label on your key ring. If you like, you can replace it with a label that includes your phone number, so that someone can contact you if your keys are found.

If you accidentally lock yourself out of your room during office hours, you can visit the DUWO office for assistance. Outside office hours, you can call Vastgoed Service (015-2516700). They can advise you on a locksmith with a favorable rate and may be able to connect you directly by phone. Please note that any costs incurred are at your own expense.

Questions or complaints

We do our very best to offer you a pleasant housing experience and great service. Still, something may go wrong. Do you have a question or complaint about your room, the common areas, nuisance, our service, or something else? Log in and fill out a contact form, see link below.

You can also call or WhatsApp us at +31 88-2353888 (local rate). The telephone number is forwarded outside opening hours and on weekends. This is only intended for emergencies.

Vastgoedservice/repair requests

You are responsible for minor maintenance yourself. For larger work, you can submit a repair request to our Vastgoed Service
repair service, also for repairs covered by the service agreement. Click the link below for more information.
