FAQ's Roland Holstlaan

Question: What are the reasons for the renovation?

Answer: The renovation is necessary to carry out essential maintenance and to implement sustainability measures. We also want to create a common space for the residents. The aim of all this is to guarantee future rentability and improve the quality of living in this building.

Question: What is meant by sustainability measures?

Answer: The sustainability measures aim to reduce the ecological impact of the residential building, for example by making improvements in energy efficiency such as insulation of glass and facades and the use of sustainable materials.

Question: What happens to the residents?

Answer: The renovation has various consequences for residents. That is why DUWO approaches residents to explain this personally and to answer questions.

Question: What happens to the University Housing residents?

Answer: University Housing residents can continue to live until the end date of the contract they conclude with DUWO. These rooms will no longer be rented from August 1, 2025. University Housing residents will therefore experience virtually no inconvenience from the upcoming renovation, but they have been informed by DUWO.

Question: What benefit will the renovation bring to the residents?

Answer: In addition to essential maintenance and sustainability improvements, we strive to create a communal space (a common room) where residents can come together and where social activities can take place.

Answer: Yes, in addition to visiting residents, there are a number of contact persons who can be contacted for questions and comments: Albertien Wijma, Debby Boon-Dammers and Marjolijn 's Gravemade via the general number of DUWO: 088-2353888.

Question: What steps are being taken to keep residents informed about the renovation project?

Answer: We will provide regular updates through newsletters. We will explain the sharper contours of the renovation plan in the near future to ensure that everyone is well informed about the progress.
