Housing Shortage

The Netherlands is facing a major housing shortage, including a shortage of student housing. For this reason, the municipality plans to create more affordable student housing in Delft in the coming years. To contribute to this effort, DUWO is developing plans to expand the student complex on Röntgenweg. In total, approximately 300 additional housing units will be added.

The plan:

• Two additional floors on top of the existing building

• An extension with housing attached to the existing building

• A redesign of the square

And further

At the same time, we are considering improvements to, among other things, the bicycle storage, the common rooms, the courtyard, the waste container areas, and the laundry room. For this, we will approach the residents’ committee and form a working group together with them.
