Education institutions and student unions have a voice in determining the DUWO policy through the Advisory Council for Student Housing. Every year, the Advisory Council provided advice on themes such as room shortages, affordability, building on campus and in the region, internationalization and student welfare.
The DUWO Student Housing Advisory Council was established in 2005. DUWO wanted to give student organizations and stakeholders from the educational world influence on its policy and involve their expertise. The higher education institutions in the DUWO work area and the student organizations are represented on the advisory council.
