Waldorp Four

A new student housing complex is set to be developed on Waldorpstraat in The Hague. The project, featuring 399 apartments, is part of the 'Waldorp Four' development and will be managed by student housing provider DUWO upon completion. DUWO has also been actively involved during the preparation phase of the construction.

The apartments

Waldorp Four will offer 399 self-contained student apartments, ranging in size from 21 to 37 m². The complex includes a 14-story tower and a five-story connecting building. All apartments are affordable, and many will qualify for housing allowance for students under 23 years old.

Amenities

The ground floor of Waldorp Four will feature various facilities, including study rooms, a common room, a laundromat, bicycle storage, storage units, and a waste disposal area. These amenities are designed to enhance convenience and comfort for residents.

Location

The complex is ideally located for students, near The Hague University of Applied Sciences and with excellent connections to the city center and the Hollands Spoor and Central train stations. Its central location ensures a vibrant and accessible living environment with nearby services and public transport.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a key focus for Waldorp Four. The apartments will be built using modular construction methods, reducing construction time, waste, and disruption. The housing units will meet high environmental standards, boasting a BREEAM-NL Excellent certification and an A+++ energy label.

Construction

Construction of Waldorp Four will commence in December 2024, with completion expected in the summer of 2028. The project will be carried out by Heddes Bouw & Ontwikkeling. Thanks to the modular construction approach and the design by Paul de Ruiter Architects, the project promises high-quality and efficient development.

Applying

It is not yet possible to apply for these apartments. The student housing units will be rented out at affordable rates through a campus contract. Exact rental prices will be announced at a later stage. Two months before completion, the apartments will be listed on the ROOM platform.
