The rooms in towers 1, 8 & 10 on the Opaallaan will soon be converted into independent homes. The rooms are therefore temporarily rented out on the basis of Article 15 of the Vacant Property law.
What does this mean for you?
1. At the moment it is not clear what the end date of your contract will be. You will receive a message from us at least three months in advance when you have to leave the room.
2. DUWO will not offer replacement accommodation.
3. You will not receive a relocation allowance.
The Opaallaan in Hoofddorp consists of ten residential towers of 5 floors. There are approximately 500 non-self-contained houses on the campus in total. One tower consists of self-contained houses. Under each tower there is a bicycle storage. For €10 per month you can rent a parking space on the property. The MBO College Airport is located opposite the campus. If you are studying there, the Opaallaan is the perfect location! It's also a good spot if you are doing an internship at Schiphol. You can cycle to the centre of Hoofddorp within ten minutes. The centre of Amsterdam is half an hour away by public transport.
