DescriptionIn the former asylum seekers' centre (AZC) and office building on the Zuiderzeeweg, temporary student residences have been created. These houses will remain there at least until 1 January 2021. If you rent a house here, you get a temporary tenancy agreement. 242 students live on the property in non-self-contained houses: Students have their own room but share the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. There is a large common room where parties are occasionally organised. Zuiderzeeweg is close to Strand Blijburg. Nearby is also Flevopark, one of Amsterdam's largest parks with an outdoor swimming pool. Please check www.amsterdam.nl/toerisme-vrije-tijd/parken/flevopark/ to see what's going on. About ten minutes away from Zuiderzeeweg lies the lively Indian neighbourhood. This neighbourhood is full of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, greengrocers, Asian delis... you name it. There is also Studio/K, a cinema complex where all sorts of events are organised.
