DescriptionThe Leidse Schans campus is just a stone's throw from the centre of Leiden and next to Leiden Lammenschans station. On the campus, accommodation is being built for 1900 students and 200 starters. 950 square metres is reserved for commercial functions such as a student cafe or a supermarket. DUWO currently has 583 student residences here, including 536 studios, 38 two-room apartments, 3 three-room residences and 6 four-room residences.
On the ground floor there is a covered, locked bicycle parking. The laundry room is on the ground floor. Please note that the following annual costs are added to the costs for rent and service costs:
- Costs for water and heating (Eteck (company)): fixed annual costs plus variable costs depending on consumption. These are not minor costs.
- Costs for electricity (supplier of your choice): Depending on consumption.
- Municipal taxes (BSGR, Water Board Rijnland). Residents of 2, 3 and 4 person apartments share these costs.
The campus has become car and moped-free since the autumn of 2022. If you are moving, you can apply for a temporary exemption via the municipality. There is a closed parking lot. DUWO rents out these parking spaces to residents Parking and parking permits in the area are arranged through the municipality of Leiden.
