DescriptionStamkartplein, also called 'De Laakhaventoren', has 277 one-room houses and sixteen two-room houses with their own kitchen, bathroom and toilet. The houses in the tower have a French balcony. The complex consists of a strip with four floors and the tower with 21 floors. On the 21st floor there is a roof terrace that is accessible to all residents. From here you have a fantastic view over The Hague. Some floors are furnished and are rented to international students. On the ground floor of the tower there is the office of DUWO for The Hague. The strip has bicycle parking for all residents. It's very hard to find parking for a car, and there is only paid parking. But a real student, of course, travels by bicycle. Within 5 minutes you are in the heart of The Hague.Stamkartplein has a residents' committee that is committed to all residents of the complex. The red Laakhaventoren is clearly recognisable in the area due to its height. The tower is right next to the grounds of the Haagse Hogeschool.
