In line with government regulations, the rental price for self-contained units will be increased by a maximum of 5.3%, while for shared units an increase of up to 5.8% applies.
An exception are tenants who fall under the 'cheap skewed housing' category, with a contract rent of less than € 300 for a self-contained home; they will see an increase of €25.
Service costs
The adjustments in the service costs, the advances for goods and services provided by DUWO, have been determined on the basis of the price development of the various components. Because the Temporary Block Heating Allowance has been discontinued by the central government, energy costs will rise slightly due to the structurally higher energy prices.
Service subscription
After careful consultation with the tenant organizations, we have decided to adjust the amount that tenants pay to DUWO for the supplemental service subscription from July 1, 2024. The rate, which has not covered costs for some time, will mean an increase of €2 to €3 per month for most tenants.
Rent allowance
It is important for tenants with rent allowance that they report their new rent to the Tax Authorities themselves, so that the Tax Authorities can ensure an adjustment; DUWO cannot do that for them.
