Four pilot complexes were already active with 'My Community'. Following the favorable results, this has now been further rolled out to 76 complexes, where for now we are specifically focusing on the 'University Housing tenants' who are coming to the Netherlands this summer. From abroad they can already see who their new neighbors will be and get to know them.
With 'My Community' (new) residents can find each other more easily for a cup of coffee or an evening out in the city. There is also an option to offer second-hand items for free or for sale. During further rollout, we are also working on a function to easily organize activities together. Moving into a student room is always exciting. By using 'My Community', we hope that the new residents will feel at home in their new living environment more quickly.
We promote the platform through various channels in our communications with our new tenants. It is really intended for residents themselves. DUWO itself does not use it for communication with residents. We are ready to respond to any reports of inappropriate content. These are addressed by our Web team to ensure a safe user experience.
It is important for all our tenants to download the DUWO app. Not only can they easily arrange their housing affairs, but from now on more and more of our residents will automatically have access to 'My Community' to make it easier to find and get to know each other.
'My Community', for a warm welcome in your new student home
DUWO tenants are using the DUWO app on a large scale. With this app you can easily arrange your housing affairs, such as paying rent and reporting repairs. We have now also added the 'My Community' functionality within the app. As soon as you have signed the tenacy argeement with DUWO, you can already get in touch with your new neighbors.
