Last fall, more than 30,000 DUWO tenants received an invitation to participate in the 2024 Housing Experience Survey. About one-fifth of them responded by completing an online questionnaire about their experiences with DUWO. The average score they gave for the Satisfaction category was 7.2. The ratings per location (Amsterdam, Delft, Leiden, The Hague, Central Netherlands) ranged from 7.1 to 7.3. The fact that every location scored above 7.0 is something to be proud of.
The Housing Experience Survey has been conducted since 2020. From 2020 to 2024, all categories—except for Social Facilities—have shown an increase. The categories Satisfaction, Sustainability, and Facilities have each increased by 0.9 points over this period.
The highest score in 2024 was an 8.4 for Location, with an 8.0 for Amsterdam and an impressive 8.9 for Central Netherlands. As expected, the Price-Quality Ratio was rated higher in expensive Amsterdam than in Central Netherlands, receiving a 7.2 and 6.6, respectively.
Valuable Insights
In all locations, the sense of safety regarding crime was rated 7.0 or higher, with Central Netherlands scoring the highest at 7.7. International students gave a rating of 7.5, which is 0.4 points higher than students with a campus contract.
Since mid-2022, DUWO has placed greater emphasis on Sustainability. Compared to 2020, the Sustainability score has increased by 0.9 points, and compared to 2023, it has risen by 0.2 points to 6.1 in 2024. There is a significant difference in ratings between regular tenants (5.8) and University Housing students (7.0).
The Housing Experience Survey provides valuable insights that allow DUWO to further improve its services.
