We have been doing this for almost three quarters of a century and that means that we know what our students want and need. With these insights we can build, rent and manage sustainable student housing at fair prices and in which every student feels at home.

There is a huge selection of housing on offer at DUWO. We have self-contained studios with private facilities (kitchen, toilet and bathroom), and also rooms where the facilities are shared with other residents. We have buildings in the inner cities, we have new buildings, and even student rooms in historic listed buildings. Each building is unique. Facilities often include a large or small communal area, a living room, study or communal kitchen. For example, you can watch a movie with your neighbours or house mates, play table football, cook meals together, study in peace and quiet or just chill out. CAMPUS LEIDSE SCHANS (LEIDEN)
Leidse Schans is a fairly new campus, where the first student buildings were officially opened in 2015. All the streets are named after a letter of the Greek alphabet on this low-traffic campus. The friendly Betaplein, Sigma, Omegaplantsoen, Epsilonplantsoen and Deltaweg offer the choice of self-contained or communal accommodation, enabling you to quickly make new friends. Our spacious homes are rented by students of different ages and academic disciplines. Students from the 5 major Leiden student associations are represented on campus. The residents often play sports together, or organise (digital) gaming evenings. Leiden city centre can be easily reached within a few minutes by bike or public transport.
CAMPUS UILENSTEDE (AMSTELVEEN)
Campus Uilenstede is the largest and greenest campus in the Netherlands. More than 3,500 students enjoy their studies here. The Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam buildings are within easy walking or cycling distance. Amsterdam city centre is also easy to reach from the campus. The abundance of greenery on and around the campus contributes to its quiet and friendly atmosphere. It’s an amazing residential location for students in Amsterdam! CAMPUS TU NOORD (DELFT)
Campus TU-Noord is a green oasis located just a stone’s throw from TU Delft and the vibrant city centre of Delft. The atmosphere is truly international and friendly. The TU Science centre is located at the heart of the campus. There are several innovative technology companies that regularly offer internships. CAMPUS DEN HAAG (THE HAGUE)
Campus Den Haag is a vibrant living environment for students in The Hague! The Haagse Hogeschool [technical college] and ROC Mondriaan [vocational college] are located at the heart of the campus. Due to its fantastic location and excellent connections, students from Delft University of Technology also live there. A branch of Leiden University, which focuses on subjects such as political science, public administration and international law, is also located on the Hague campus. We continue to build!
Thanks to our extensive experience in developing projects for both new buildings and renovations, we are able to design and deliver such projects quickly and efficiently. We do this in collaboration with the municipality, educational institutions and real estate parties. In order to reduce the shortage of student accommodation, we are looking at long-term as well as short-term options. We principally build student accommodations located near educational institutions and campuses. Additionally, we also consider other central locations accessible by public transport and existing buildings to (temporarily) convert them into student accommodations. Our projects pay close attention to the immediate surroundings of the complex and/or campus area and their relationship with the city.
DEN HAAG - WALDORP FOUR
A new student housing complex is being developed on Waldorpstraat in The Hague. The new construction, featuring 399 student apartments, is part of the 'Waldorp Four' project, ideally located near The Hague University of Applied Sciences and The Hague HS train station. Construction of Waldorp Four will begin in December 2024, with completion expected in the summer of 2028.
HOOFDDORP - CAMDEN TOWN/HYDE PARK
A large new DUWO complex with 563 student homes is being built in the Hyde Park district of Hoofddorp: Camden Town. Construction started in June 2023. The complex is being built by external developers, but was purchased by DUWO. Construction is taking place entirely in accordance with the DUWO program of requirements for student housing.
RHIJNGEEST - DE LIMES
In the new neighborhood of Nieuw-Rhijngeest, near the Leiden Bio Science Park, construction of a large student complex, Rhijngeest, will begin in early 2025. The complex will feature over 290 student apartments based on DUWO's latest living concept: the STING. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
